Step 1: Get Ready to Register!

Contact your Advisor

Your initial academic advisor will give you all the information you need to register for classes.

To contact your advisor, email fleercenter@salem.edu  and we will help you set up an appointment!

Math and Language Placement

Math: Incoming students are not required to take a math placement test. Math placement will be determined by the mathematics department based on your transcripts. Your advisor will have your placement and discuss it with you when you register.

Language: Salem students are required to complete two language courses as a part of their general education requirements. We offer placement tests for Spanish and French. If you believe you have proficiency in either Spanish or French and would like to take a placement test, please contact Dr. Ana León-Távora at ana.leon-tavora@salem.edu. If you do not have previous experience with a language, your advisor will help you choose a language path when you register.

Salem Academy and College are committed to providing students with disabilities with an equal opportunity to access the college’s academic, social, and recreational activities and programs. Although college students are not required to disclose a disability, those who wish to do so, and to request reasonable academic or other program-related accommodations, may do so at any time during their college career. Student Accessibility Services exists to provide support and services to students with disabilities.  Student Accessibility Services is available to students with documented disabilities as well as those who have questions about eligibility for services.  To begin the request process for reasonable accommodations, students should register with Student Accessibility Services.
